Playing What We Feel, Feeling What We Play

It doesn’t take much to realize
All is right with the world
When we stop listening to fear mongers.

A good man is not so hard to find,
It seems
When all you have to do is look
Around the corner where your neighbor
Is helping the old lady across the street
And good things happen in dreams.

Where the paperboy is knocking on doors
Looking for the owner of a gray cat –
The man in front of you on the road,
Pays for your toll that day
In an act of random kindness,
And someone tells you, “lookie here”
And hands you a flower.

Then there is the shopkeeper
Who, seeing that you are short a nickel,
Gives you a discount
So you can afford the cream puff
You had your eye on all afternoon.
And doesn’t tell you it was his best one.

Dreams can be reality
When we observe what is right
With the world
And create even more
On that note.

Judy A., thank you for reminding us to open our eyes and see the good things in life.
