About Me:

Many people know me as "Wendy V". I'm a freelancer in the areas of writing, music promotion and artist assistance. I've done CD radio marketing, bio and press release writing, website copy and consulting services for the beginning performing musician (or those at it for awhile seeking extra help). I have an audiobook called Treasures In the Tip Jar: the Art of Awesome Fan Support", and an instructional e-book "Promote and Market Your Musical Talent" with practical, common sense tips for beginning and professional musicians and their fans.

I have two websites, www.wendyv.com and Embrace Encouragement (www.embraceencouragement.com), the home of my regular newsletter "Wendy V's Encouraging Words", focusing on ways to embrace encouragement in all forms.

My blog, "Wendy V's Nashville Blend" (http://wvnashblend.blogspot.com) is a support vehicle for recognizing emerging singer/songwriters and covers events I attend around town.

Sad Goodbye

Unfortunately, my year starts out sadly. My mom passed away peacefully in her sleep Thursday evening in CT. She was 89. She had been ill for a long time, so we were expecting the news. She now joins my dad in heaven.

Holy Cow--There IS A Santa Claus!

So I'm at Doak Turner's 3rd Sunday get-together for songwriters here in Nashville. I go to listen and meet and support writers. I'm about to leave to head over to stop at my church group's Christmas gathering. Doak pulls me aside and says, "you know what you've won, right?". Um...no.
