Lesley, Where have you been? It's been a few days since you posted anything but I've been off the site too. I did something crazy which I'll tell everyone about in a blog.
Hope you're well. Until later
Pixie eventually created this site because she felt betrayed by eons,
in that they said one thing and did another.
The original logo stated, loving life on the flip side of fifty, that was changed eventually to loving life on the flip side.
It was found that the founder of the group could not himself be a member of eons because he was too young, according to the rules as set forth when joining.
Pixie is a woman of principle and felt betrayed in her trust of the site, and felt let down on their promise, after awhile she formed this site for anyone 21 or over, at least in that respect she was up front with the age limit.
I leave it to you about your decision concerning eons, but personally I canceled my membership with them.
While I have nothing against teenagers, they have other sites they can join.
I like the fact that we can converse as mature adults with each other and not have to go through the teen banter.
Your choice is your`s.
My best to.
John
I messed up so you may get a partial note. I was thinking that since we were close in age you might have similar memories of the early 60's music. It was a big deal when the Beatles played on Ed Sullivan. What was the first big American band you remember on tv or in concert there?
I am a very big movie fan. I like the older ones. Right now I am watching The Planet of the Apes starring Charleton Heston.
You might want to check out www.eons.com. It is a sight for folks over 50.

We have a lot of really nice people here so I hope you feel right at home.
Welcome and thanks for joining us...............Pixie
