About Me:
About James Breedwell.... Originally from Cincinnati, Ohio, James’ musical pursuits brought him to Nashville with only $20 in his pocket. While his car broke down on the road, he was determined to overcome all obstacles and follow his dreams. He has a passion for songwriting and has been writing since he was 13 years old. James is often noted for his compassion towards others. His music is not just about him, but about touching and healing others. A few years after he came to town he facilitated a Writers Night to benefit a little girl who had Cystic Fibrosis. Today he still lends a helping hand to those in need. His high energy Writers Nights landed him an exclusive writing deal at Laurelwood Entertainment. He has shared the pen with 20 major artists, and has co-written with over 500 writers. He has written on songs with very talented writers and producers such as Keith Floyd (After 7-Babyface produced them); Big Vinny from Trailor Choir (Toby Keith is producing them); and Chuck Howard who produced Leann Rimes' first 6 albums. His extensive musical background also includes writing with Blake Shelton, Joe Nichols, Craig Morgan, and many other talented artists and songwriters, including 6 1 Songwriters of the Year, which include Craig Wiseman who wrote "Live Like You're Dying" for Tim McGraw & "I Believe" for Brooks & Dunn; Tia Sellers wrote "I Hope You Dance" for Leann Womack; Danny Wells & Dana Oglesby wrote "Check Yes or No" for George Strait; Eddie Kilgallon wrote "One Night at a Time" for George Strait, & Brett James wrote "Jesus Take the Wheel" for Carrie Underwood. I want to say, as much as he would have loved to be a part of these hits, he was not a writer on them. He has also written with Top Vocal Coach to the Stars and an awesome songwriter, Brett Manning. James has been cited on TNN for his role as a successful songwriter. His music encompasses diverse flavors (gospel, pop, rock, jazz & R&B), offering well-crafted lyrics, melodies, and style. As a Writer on Music Row, James works with existing artists and songwriters, as well as new and upcoming artist development projects. He still hosts very successful Writers Nights Dose a Tv show and as 3 radio shows where top Writers and Artists continue to enjoy listening to and finding the best songs in Nashville. There are always Recording Artists, Producers, Publishers or Managers in the audience who are looking for fresh new songs. James brings a torrent of creative ideas, enthusiasm and expertise to the table. In this capacity, his role as Singer/Songwriter helped define his talent, as echoes of splendor resonate throughout his music. He is still putting pen to paper wanting to touch a heart, bring a tear to an eye, or put a smile on a face. Please contact nashvillemusicgroup@yahoo.com for booking information.
