Do drop by my page. Music is free to download. Ranges from to Jazz to Blues to RB to Gospel, and yea, Opera arias. Recorded by me over a 2 year period. i'm on iTunes and CD Baby but the pieces on my page, as I said are free to download. if you like any of them, have at them. Have a great day.

Hi George. Thanks for joining us. Have you checked out The Song Game here? It's got over 800 replies. It was really popular in our group on Eons so when I closed that group, I started the game here.

Hope you find it as fund as we do. Thanks for being here.

Tootall, glad to see you back over here but I have a question, what does "I don't need your rockin' chair." mean? Is that in response to something here? I know I'm tired but I don't get it.

From a pulisher. oops yep got that too, and have many cuts.
talk about a mixed bag. Number 1 and 5 billboard blues, #23 country,
Many album cuts by the likes of Ronnie Milsap, Gene Watson, Ray Price.
Cowriters Wayne Carson, (the letter, always on my mind) Don Wayne
(country bumpkin)most recently Keith Stegall and Dicky Betts!
So regardless of the industry and what they say about the economy

I can tell we are still recording in Nashville all the time and still writing! It is our love and our passion for music that drives us! When
I was in LA, and man I do miss some of it, almost everyone had an
agent including songwriters, The agent got the deals and the song cuts, I think here it is called a song plugger, but if you go that route
it needs to be one with STANDING PROVABLE CONNECTIONS! My La
contacts are still in force with a very good reason, firm biz relationships need to be stroked and maintained, for we as songwriters never know where our song will be heard and accepted
by an artist! Then walla! We too will be a number one writer!
if you wish more thoughts on this let me know! To my cal music friends here. KEEP WRITING
Judy

"there's no playin, when there's no song' ah travis and dennis
"so where did we go wrong" Just added that one and does this
make it a 3 way cowrite my friends. The artists you all mentioned
are awesome, and brought to us from the labels. Old or New with
the digital age is pretty cool. But I must agree, with both of you.

From the first lick, or first refrain. You knew the artist and the song.

Except with a few current exceptions with todays music I think that
still holds true. Country Music for example, go out to the town honky
tonks listen to a real country band, and see what the requests are?
if you have played or play in one of these bands you know what I am talking about. New fans with the new artists is there to in the mix,in all phases of music. But I think with the exception of a few
the STANDARDS or Classic songs still played and still remembered
are there! But this generation of artists now are not producing them! and songwriters have a hard time getting their song in the door to be heard. So it still boils down to THE SONG, recording it
the best way possible with the right contacts and then the labels
or artist recording it! Thus I still feel a GOOD SONG will make it to
the right people! That is what drives me as a writer, and a person who records music!
So much now we have to be careful of too, as in the internet and
what I can SHARKS IN THE WATER a published piece I did on the
Music Biz, Would love to post it here!
I am representing a good songwriter signed to my publishing company and she reported to me about this site. Check it out with
BMI, my affliate and lo and behold they are on a list of those to watch out for. The best stenerio would be and it is already happening that suits are being won by our affliates for copyright infringement and intenet priracy!
All of us who are songwriters should applaud these new moves and
laws enacted on our behalf, as we all know when it comes to a song
cut and release by a Major artist. the SONGWRITER in the chain of
command is the last one on the totum pole to get paid.
Ok food for thought and off my soap box. or is it!
Keep writing and keep believing in the dream.
