Thank you Pixie. Your thoughts are deeply appreciated. Life does go on. Someday I will understand.

Johnny, I'm sorry to hear of your loss.

Yes, it does still hurt but as you know, life does go on.

If I take the time to remember when I found him on the patio in the backyard, then my heart breaks all over again. If I think about having to live life without him, the pain begins again. I know what you're saying.

I've learned to just not think about any of it and just realize that this is the way it is. God knows what He's doing and He certainly wouldn't have ever left me here to deal with the pain if He didn't know that I could handle it. He's trusting me with what He has planned.

For whatever reason God has, we are left without them. It's another stepping stone to where God wants us to be. Painful as it is, I just go on and I know eventually I'll look back and understand why it had to be.

Johnny, just take one day at a time.

I LOST MY WIFE OF 10YRS ON MY BIRTHDAY OF 1998. SHE WAS THE PERFECT PARTNER IN LIFE. PAIN IS TEMPORARY, BUT A LOSS LIKE THIS HURTS FOR LIFE. SHE NEVER MET A STRANGER. TRAVIS KNEW HER AND WILL TELL YOU THE SAME. I TRY TO MAKE EVERY DAY THE BEST IT CAN BE BUT EVERY YEAR ON MY BIRTHDAY IT FALLS BACK TO THAT ONE MOMENT, I HAVE TO SPEND THE NEXT YEAR CLIMBING THAT LADDER AGAIN. I'M HAPPY THAT THIS SITE UNDERSTANDS LOSS, LIFE, AND LOVE. I WISH THE BEST FOR ALL OF YOU. GOD BLESS. JOHNNY

If the following poem invokes any questions-- Ask them - I write from Life's experiences- Jim

The Gates of Heavens
By Jim Evans

In the quite of the morning pain filled my body so
It hurt when I was breathing; surely soon I’d get to go
Then I saw the clouds behind me only the blue could my eyes see
I looked down below me and on the bed and I saw me

I was flying with no resistance no wind filled my hair
It was peaceful warm and I rested till my feet touched the water there
In a river I was standing looking to the Canaan side
I saw the gates of Heaven and I knew that I had died

I saw the gates of Heaven with angels all around
I heard Heaven’s choir singing oh what ah beautiful sound
The doors they swung wide open; I had a smile on my face
I saw the God that I love sitting on his throne of grace

I saw the gates of Heaven; the doors swung opened wide
I saw the Lamb of God upon His throne on the other side
I saw my loving father and he said now hold on my son
Don’t cross that river Jordon-- your work on earth’s not done

God’s power it amazed me I couldn’t look upon his face
I saw the Cross of Calvary I knew he took my place
I saw the scares on his hands, I saw the hole in his side
I knew that I was forgiven-- It was for me the Savior died.

In a rush of wind I felt the waters splash upon my face
I didn’t want to leave the joy and love I found in this holy place
I heard my wife and daughter crying as I opened up my eyes
I knew that I had come back home to my family-- my God what a prize

I saw the gates of Heaven; I saw the doors swung opened wide
I saw the Lamb of God sitting upon his throne on the other side
I saw my loving father and he said now hold on there my son
Don’t cross that river Jordon your work on earth’s not done

I saw the Gates Of Heaven

Life with a Void

Don't take from me, the memory
Of love that I once knew.
For if you take, my heart will break
And I won't make it through.

It feels like night, no stars for light
But even darker still
The darkest hole, life without soul
Want without even a will

Eyes filled with tears, future of fears
Nights lasting far too long
Weight I can't bare, answerless prayer
And breathing just seems so wrong

Don't wake me now, I don't know how
Reality will feel
No need to know, I just want to go
Where all my pains will heal

So don't take from me, the memory
If you must make me stay
In a world without Lloyd, life with a void
Let me sleep till I pass away...........Pixie Bavle-Nolin

Sorry to hear your pain. I never lost a spouse but I did lose people close.

I know this network is new but am I really the only one here who's suffered loss? Then that's a good thing. In my case misery does NOT love company.
