Bluesman on September 2, 2009 at 2:43pm: Hey Pixie...I am back, sort of...On May22nd I had major surgery and received a kidney and a pancreas from an 18 year old young man. I am no longer a diabetic, after 45 years of it's slow killin' ways, and my kidney is functioning perfect! I have had no rejection episodes in almost 4 months! That is almost unheard of, usually 1 or 2 in that time often happen. I have been so blessed by the Lord God above, that I find it hard to sing the Blues, EXCEPT when I think of the family who lost an 18 year old son and brother...then those good old blues rear their head, and the feeling comes on stronger than ever!
On a good note, I received a letter from 2 of his sisters, written the night he died, and it will tear your heart out, not because of their sadness, altho some showed thru their words, but by their graciousness. They asked to meet me some time soon, and I have a letter ready to go to them to attempt to see if we can make that happen.

The blues ain't bad now at all, and they can be a song of joy, so we'll see what comes from this old bluesman.
