Angel Eyes

I never gave much thought to angels until recently. Now I am fascinated by the stories I hear about them and yes, I do believe. This is a place where you can share your experiences with angels.

Some times there are Angles standing near us - We see them but do not know they are Angles. Be Kind as much as you can --

Angel - by Judy Adams

She came to me, that little chubby angel.
In a dream that was so real
And I wondered just why and how
There was such strong appeal
To this image I had never seen before
Or understood previously
That was, a fact I became aware of -
She was there mischievously.

She dropped her little puppy
Down gently as I stood in awe
Asking me to keep her little pet safe
And then later on, tell others what I saw –

“Oh, for heaven sakes what is going on?” I said,
“How did you get here and why?
I am much too busy for exchange as such
And forget it - I will not await your reply”.

So, I woke myself up at 3 that morning
And thought about our little encounter,
Brushing it off as a simple but fun dream
Yet for years more, considering whether I really had found her.

Jim, I've heard stories of many who have gone and been sent back. Did this happen to you?

This poem is a great way to tell those who don't know, what the scars and suffering of Jesus was for. Thank you.

The Gates of Heavens
By Jim Evans

In the quite of the morning pain filled my body so
It hurt when I was breathing; surely soon I’d get to go
Then I saw the clouds behind me only the blue could my eyes see
I looked down below me and on the bed and I saw me

I was flying with no resistance no wind filled my hair
It was peaceful warm and I rested till my feet touched the water there
In a river I was standing looking to the Canaan side
I saw the gates of Heaven and I knew that I had died

I saw the gates of Heaven with angels all around
I heard Heaven’s choir singing oh what ah beautiful sound
The doors they swung wide open; I had a smile on my face
I saw the God that I love sitting on his throne of grace

I saw the gates of Heaven; the doors swung opened wide
I saw the Lamb of God upon His throne on the other side
I saw my loving father and he said now hold on my son
Don’t cross that river Jordon-- your work on earth’s not done

God’s power it amazed me I couldn’t look upon his face
I saw the Cross of Calvary I knew he took my place
I saw the scares on his hands, I saw the hole in his side
I knew that I was forgiven-- It was for me the Savior died.

In a rush of wind I felt the waters splash upon my face
I didn’t want to leave the joy and love I found in this holy place
I heard my wife and daughter crying as I opened up my eyes
I knew that I had come back home to my family-- my God what a prize

I saw the gates of Heaven; I saw the doors swung opened wide
I saw the Lamb of God sitting upon his throne on the other side
I saw my loving father and he said now hold on there my son
Don’t cross that river Jordon your work on earth’s not done

I saw the Gates Of Heaven

TL, thanks for posting this. I love to hear about angel encounters.

I'm sorry to hear about all the pain you had to go through to encounter one visibly but isn't that usually when it happens? Most of the time it's when we're in trouble or pain.

I think each of His chosen have more than just one angel so sometimes when my friends or acquaintances need help, I ask God to send one of my angels. I can spare it because God has been so good to me that I think my angels are very strong. Although I'd like to have as many around me as possible, I still think I can spare one for a friend.

I've had several encounters myself. The first one that I can remember off the top of my head was when I fell 60 yds. down the side of a mountain.

I hate to leave you hanging but I'll explain that when I have a little more time.

Thanks for posting this.

I have had two definate encounters with angels. The first was at five years of age, when it saved my life. The second was when I was t boned and it totalled my car, I was injured pretty bad, my left arm was seperated at the elbow and turned around backwards, instead of crushing it, my pelvis was broken in the back and the front, and several other dislocations on my left side. Vanderbilt concluded that with intensive therapy I should be able to walk again with a tri pod cane. Angels and God and I did it without them. If you know me now, you'd never know it ever hapened/ While the [aramedics were tryting to figure out how to get me out of the car, there was an angel there with me, although at the time I thought he was a child...But, he was there and he kept me sane, and calm, and unafraid, even though nothing moved but my left arm anymore. I KNEW I was ok.. He never left me until they blocked my view of him, and then he was gone, or as they told me he never was.. But, I KNOW better. I can describe him in detail, and I can see him in my mind today, smiln at me, and calming me with his eyes. I'll share more details later. I am absolutely sure that angels not only are real, but, God always has one watching over his chosen children. You know if you are chosen by the fact that you know that you know that you know. God is real, angels are real, and Hell is real. Angels come in all shapes and sizes, and sometimes you recognise them but most of the time you don't.

God is forever imaginative, colorful, and glorious in what He designs. Some of the descriptions of angels, including the one of Lucifer, indicate that they are exotic to the human eye and mind. Apparently angels have a beauty and variety that surpass anything known to man.

If someone were to ask me if I had ever seen an angel, I am afraid I could not give a very satisfying answer. But should I be asked if I ever met a messenger of God, then the answer would be an emphatic and unequivocal, "Yes, I have!"

Angels appear on the edge of death because death is the threshold between time and eternity.
